A new baby in the family
For big brothers and big sisters-to-be. There is plenty of love to go round, and a very important new job waiting.
How the story handles it
The child is becoming a big sibling. Acknowledge mixed feelings kindly. Show that love grows rather than being shared out, and that the child has a special role (singing to baby, showing them the stars). Keep the baby gender-neutral unless details say otherwise.
What makes it theirs
Your child is the hero, by name, on every page — with their favourite animal beside them, drawn to look like them if you tell us how, and with any little details you add: a sibling, a pet, a favourite blanket. Every book is written fresh; no two are the same.
