Being brave
Bravery isn't never being scared. It's feeling a little wobbly and trying anyway, with a friend by your side.
How the story handles it
The child feels scared of something age-appropriate (the dark, a new place, a loud noise). With the companion they take small brave steps. Bravery means doing it while a bit scared. Nothing frightening happens; resolution is gentle and triumphant.
What makes it theirs
Your child is the hero, by name, on every page — with their favourite animal beside them, drawn to look like them if you tell us how, and with any little details you add: a sibling, a pet, a favourite blanket. Every book is written fresh; no two are the same.
